ESKIMO SCRIMSHAW WALRUS TUSK SECTION
This scrimshaw tusk sliver was scrimshawed and a part of the Walter Waters "BEAR TOTEM CURIO" in Wrangell, Alaska when it closed in 1902-1952. At the closing Mrs Waters sold to the Burke Museum, Denver Art Museum, and the Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois. The residue was inherited by grand children and then marketed.
